I wouldn’t mind it being rare, because I don’t think anyone WANTS to need an abortion, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with needing or having one, so the implications in this don’t thrill me.

I’d be good with it being common (and you’ll never persuade an anti-choice person that ~20 per 1000 women per year is acceptably rare for their standards). Wishing for it to be rare plays into the hands of people who want to make abortion into an immoral issue. This argument needs to be won some other way.

You’re asking people who think that Donald Trump will be an awesome President to think logically. It won’t happen.
