Looking on Autotrader, it looks like my Mazda3 is at around $20k+. I paid $18,500 back in February 2019 on mine with only 7500 miles on it. It currently has 41k miles and all the ones on autotrader, all are above what I paid and have more miles...

My old roommate teases me all the time when I tell him I’d rather have a Boxster Spyder over many of the 911 variants. The 911 has more history and, for those that care, some people want to be part of that history.
I built one with the Weissach pack the way I’d like it and the total came out the $182k, so basically the exact same (with similar options) to a 992 GT3.
I’m a manual diehard and will complain and cry and whine if Porsche tries to take away the manual option out of the regular GT3/4 cars again. But with these RS cars, which are designed for fastest laps and are hardcore track beasts, I’m totally ok with it. It fits the design quota.
Not sure exactly. Just googled Michigan roads. I have some videos of terrible roads I’ve driven on, but I didn’t have any good photos (since I’m usually driving). Can confirm that this isn’t an exaggeration sadly...
People with more F1 rules knowledge than me: When I watched it live, I was surprised that Verstappen wasn’t forced to concede the place since he gained it by going off track. Isn’t that typically how these things are handled? If a driver gets an unfair advantage by going off track, he has to concede that position…
I live near their Michigan office and I’ve seen a yellow one a lot. It looks awesome in that color. I also saw a black customer tag one on the freeway over the weekend. The headlights look so goofy in pictures, but it really works in real life. You know exactly what car it is. I’m a fan.
Because speed sells? That’s my only theory. That and it’s probably a lot easier to engineer...
Problem is that the suppliers aren’t making as much money as they could because they can’t even meet the demand the OEM’s are requesting. I’m in engineering and we have had daily meetings with suppliers, buyers, and program teams from both sides to just get enough to build prototypes. Everyone is worried that we’ll…
Can I just pay admission to Jay Leno’s garage instead?
For me, it’s in contention for my wife’s next car as I get an employee discount. And if I get one, I do plan on taking it to Moab... to hike and ride in my friends’ RZRs, Broncos, and Wranglers ;)
I totally hear you.
So I worked on the IP console team on the Escape for a few months (and then dealt with Escapes for the last 2 years on my other roles). Those floor consoles are an engineer’s best friend when it comes to packaging. There are a TON of modules underneath the console that we hide from the buyer, so having the rotary dial…
I’m going through this right now at work. Even though I work in body interior, we have a ton of components that use chips (displays, switches, etc...). Right now, I’m working on tracking which components that have an electrical signal (device transmittal) need testing. I’m working on a 2023 model year car and these…
It’s a shame because making a new transmission was pitched apparently for the mid cycle refresh, but influential people deemed it “too expensive” to do. They must feel like idiots when they think of that decision...
