The NBA did a very good job. But they also had a short-term bubble where they could pretty strictly control everything. That’s not going to be the case once this season starts. I still think they’ll do better than the NFL. But it’s going to be rough.

Polio and smallpox didn’t achieve herd immunity naturally because people avoided getting it. You’d have to ACTIVELY try to get everyone infected to achieve herd immunity.

Biden can commute every federal death penalty punishment to life imprisonment. Would a law be better? Of course. But this idea that it would take way too much time for Biden to end it is ridiculous.

Yeah this is literally just execs trying to ride the gravy train as long as possible. Saw it many times on a project management side, but never so obvious from an entire company.

There’s a difference between not looking great and not performing great and what a lot of PS4/XB1 users are reporting. It looks like fucking garbage from a lot that I’ve seen. So I’m glad those affected (minus the people who bought a physical copy I guess) are getting their money back.

And even more than that, courts only have power because people are willing to enforce their decisions. When a large percentage of people in power believe they’re deciding cases based on politics or loyalty versus the law they’ll be ignored.

Yeah as much as a lot of these conservative judges would love to disenfranchise mostly black voters, they know their power basically goes away if they overturn an obviously valid election result.
