I'd say her parents care for her too, just in the bottled-up Midwestern way. Plus, Scott's the first genuinely good guy she's ever seemed to have a relationship with and he cares about her too. But yes, Bruce has been the most constant source of care in her life.

Somewhat unrelated but I recently realized the love interest in Everybody Wants Some is Thompson's daughter and she's the spitting image of Thompson in the 80's.

I remember watching that 30 Rock episode with her and thinking "man she's gotta be 65 now and she still looks great!" And then I looked it up and she was a flat 50 when that episode aired.

Having seen it, it's pretty morally ambiguous. That made it more interesting to me, but also made it harder to get into for some I saw it with.

I think Acid Rap was so thrilling because here was a fresh new talent who was raw and unpolished but still in complete creative control.

I was at that SXSW screening and, yeah, a few people were so grossed out they walked out. But got damn I loved the whole effin movie. I don't scare easily but this one is fiendishly scary.
