So I figure the odds are pretty close to 90% you’re a fellow WPI student/alum?

Shout out for the Boynton!

My car called for 89 R+M stock.... Then I went from 7 to 11PSI of boost. I fill it with 93 for good reason now.

I actually just started using Rotella T5 in my Volvo 740 Turbo. Seems to love the stuff and actually quieted the valvetrain down a ton.

Blipshift is my exception to that. I love my Blipshift shirts (even those that are obviously brand specific).

It may not be the most polite thing to do, but I have a pair of LED rally-style spot lights on the front of my car for when it gets really nasty in the winter. Usually if I flash those once or twice, they get the message.

I can not star this enough. Modern headlights make it virtually impossible for small cars to see anything if there is oncoming traffic. Add to that drivers that don’t understand how to use hi beams, and you’ve got a dangerous situation. Headlights don’t need to be brighter. They need to be more directional.

First car: ‘89 740 Turbo. It was my grandmother’s and I loved it. Now it’s mine and I’d buy another in a heartbeat.

I own three shirts about Volvos at this point (two from Blipshift, one as a gift from a family member). That’s about as crazy as I get.

I’m a big fan of silicone vacuum line. Almost impossible to bite through and nicely springy.

Another MA driver here, can confirm.

Jason Torchinsky: asking the hard hitting questions.

My car has two Intel 8051 microcontroller in it with no connections to the outside world. If they can hack that to do anything more useful than disable my car, more power to them.

You know what, $2700 for a Toyota pickup screams work truck to me. There’s easily $2700 worth of life left in it.
