You’re gonna be driving an awful long time before a B230 dies....

A reasonable NP. That engine will likely outlive me, and an underside that looks like it’s in reasonably good shape. The odometer/speedometer issue is likely a 15 minute fix, as the wiring to the speed sensor in the rear differential is prone to either losing it’s insulation or breaking. 2ft of wire, some crimp

Nice price, all day, every day. If you want to tow a camper on a road trip, this is the truck to do it with.

My Volvo V60 has a button that causes the rear headrests to fold down quite violently. I can count the number of times I’ve used it for it’s intended purpose on one hand. The number of times I’ve used it to smack my passengers in the back of the head though.....

Gut it, hoon it, done.

I’m in the Boston area and have had my Volvo on DWS06s for nearly the last year. Didn’t get a ton of snow, but they did very respectably on ice last year. I’m interested to see how they handle this uear, after 10k miles

I wish every day that my V60 was RWD. Every single day

I’m 6' 4", ~315lbs, and drive a Volvo V60 because out of the 6 dealerships I went into that day, Volvo was the only manufacturer that had something I fit in. Picked it up used for ~$30k out the door, CPO

Re #4: the lack of visibility out of modern cars is amazingly bad. I went from an 89 Volvo 740 to a 17 Volvo V60, and the visibility in the v60 is dramatically worse.

Can confirm. Have seen David hit the bong of VW taillights.

Torch is hitting the ground-up-vw-taillight-pipe again.....

I rock a V60 myself. Car is shockingly good at going from “competent highway cruiser” to “okay, let’s be highly irresponsible on this backroad”

That’s basically my V60 in a nutshell. Pop it into sport mode, lay into the boost, it’s totally possible to see 12mpg around town... Drive a little easier, and I’ve gotten over 40mpg on the highway for extended (50mile) periods

I’d get a kick out of someone putting an M badge on a BMW 2002 or even better - an Isetta.

I did join the silly badge club with my old car. Picked up a Polestar badge and stuck it on my Volvo 740. It’s silly, because the car is way older than Polestar, but I like to think of it like an inside joke.

We love off of you readers, well except that one guy (you know who I am talking about)

Except for some of us, that isn’t a lie ;)

How do the rest of you manage to keep Torch in line? Is he more manageable than he seems, or is it sort of a ‘point him in the right direction and hope things don’t explode too badly’?

I’d argue that the best solution for most people’s lives are the mini van and the wagon. I commute in a wagon and average around 26mpg in commuter traffic - not Prius territory, but I consider it an acceptable compromise for the added utility.

I’ve found myself saying it a lot recently. We’ve gotten ourselves into a cycle of:
