Oh it’s absolutely possible. There’s just a simple reason nobody’s tried it yet.
Because engines aren’t really able to run upside down. I ran the math with a physicist I know and the numbers do work, it’s just a matter of making the rest of the car handle it.

I have some sort of sickness, because I really want to buy a BRAT and drop some sort of little turbo 4cyl in it. Make it just fast enough to be utterly terrifying.
