Steph Curry had more rebounds this game than Tristan Thompson has had all series.
Spurs and Jazz are good defensive teams. Cavs are just grabby.
Because you say so? Sure. Curry’s been the best player on the team in the playoffs, and just as good in the Finals. But feel however you want. Dubs fans know the deal. And the real secret? Neither of them cares “who’s team it is.” They just want to win.
I’m a huge Warriors fan and holy shit was Kyrie incredible.
Don’t care. Warriors fans were all told last year after 73-9 to 3-1 to 4-3 “Nothing matters but rings.” Now I’ll say the same to you. Nothing matters but rings. Not your narratives, and not your feelings. Rings.
Curry’s efforts on the boards this series should not be ignored.
I mean, Curry is averaging 28.7/9.7/9 this series. Highest net +/-. Also, leading in hockey assists. Also that thing where his mere presence on offense opens things up for everyone else. KD was a stud down the stretch but he finished +0 on the night. Curry was +11. Point being, why not both?
Fair enough. I’m actually cool with all of it. It didn’t bother me then, and it doesn’t bother me now. I’m just of the opinion that most of the outrage I’m seeing everywhere is hypocritical, and mostly sour grapes.
Wait, what? Three players vs. four? This is completely irrelevant to my point. In your original post you said this is not the same as LeBron going to Miami. You’re correct. Free agents LeBron, Wade, and Bosh colluding to determine who would be the best team in the league is a far worse violation of the league’s…
It is pretty absurd Curry fouled out in the first place. How many league MVPs get fouled out in a Finals game? LeBron has to practically murder someone to pick up a 5th foul in any game.
I fully disagree with this take. LeBron alone did not make Miami a superteam. Wade, Bosh, and LeBron were all free agents that off-season. The three of them deciding collectively where they were going to sign was what made Miami a superteam. It could have just as easily been Chicago. They chose what team they were…
Leaving no survivors. Goodness.
The Cavs have the highest payroll in the NBA. Don’t let the facts get in the way of your narrative though.
Their transition D has been garbage all year and despite protestations to the contrary, I hadn’t really seen it get any better in the playoffs. If you can’t defend in transition against the Warriors, you’re toast.
Kyrie can guard Curry? What the fuck? Kyrie can’t guard a lamppost.
You’re missing the point. I’m not talking about playing heavy minutes. I’m saying that if Curry really is as terrible as you think he is on defense, it would literally be impossible for the Warriors to be as good of a defensive team as they are given the amount of time he’s on the floor.
It is literally impossible to play as many minutes as Curry has for a team rated as highly defensively as the Warriors have been over the last three seasons and be a “jamoke on defense.”
Ha. The Eastern Conference is as garbage as the Cavs’ D. Warriors in 5.
Warriors in 5. Cavs just don’t have the defensive horses.
