I’ll take Durant’s moms’ word on this over yours. KD has never been happier playing basketball. He loves playing on this team.

The Warriors accomplishments should in no way should be “made less notable by the Cavs’ near equal detonation of the Eastern Conference.”

See, I don’t think either of them did it on purpose. Dedmon’s shot on Curry though? That shit was dirty as hell.

Watching both in real time, and upon replay, I still don’t think either are intentional. I think the mental gymnastics Spurs fans are performing to decry the Pachulia play as brutal thuggery and the Aldridge play as just and unfortunate thing is total fucking bullshit, though.

I’ve been surprised more people haven’t noticed this. They did, in fact, flip the switch in the playoffs. Offensively. That D is still suspect as hell.

Well one difference is the Warriors, unlike every Eastern Conference team, can actually play defense.

Bullshit. That play gets pulled on Steph Curry EVERY FUCKING GAME. It was pulled but Aldridge later in the same game. Anyone ever get punched by David West yet? Anyone calling Aldridge a dirty piece of shit? Fuck off.

And the Spurs undercut Curry later in the game. You think that’s disgusting too? Defenders undercut Curry in every game, actually. Shit happens. Bad fucking luck for Leonard.

Also you mental midget, they don’t only defend the rim against the opposing center. This is about defending the rim against all opposing players. Did Whiteside’s blocks ONLY come against opposing centers? No. His role is to protect the rim against drivers as well. Against all comers, they shot a lower percentage at

Are you legitimately stupid? NBA.com: Rim protection is defined as the defender being within five feet of the basket and within five feet of the offensive player attempting the shot, DFG% = field goals defended at rim percent. Draymond Green DFG% = 44%. Hassan Whiteside DFG% = 47.7%. Those 7 footers shot a better

Draymond Green is dirty as fuck, funny as hell, easily dis-likable, and hands down the best defensive player in the NBA. He’s a stellar rim protecter, not quite on the level of a Gobert, Drummond, Whiteside, or Jordan (limited by the fact that he is 6'7") but he’s NOT FAR OFF, and once you factor in how disruptive he

The stats back it up. They’re out there. I’m not your Google bitch, but here’s a sneak peek. Opponents shot 44% at the rim against Draymond Green this season. They shot 47.7% against Hassan Whiteside. I mean, do you think blocks alone make someone a rim protector?

Draymond Green is a top-tier rim protector. The numbers back this up. I’m not sure why people think this isn’t the case.

Green’s versatility makes him better. He is almost as good of an interior defender as Gobert (this season opponents shot 43.9% at the rim against Gobert, 44% against Green), and a far superior perimeter defender.

No, you just missed the part where Green is a better defensive player than Leonard. The numbers back it up, and in the abstract an elite interior defender who can effectively switch onto the perimeter is more valuable than an elite perimeter defender.

A lot of great athletes are pigeon toed. I remember reading that somewhere.

The biggest issue I see is that outside of LeBron James, there isn’t a single above average defensive player on that entire roster. There is no switch for anyone but LeBron to flip. That may be enough, but I don’t think it will be as easy as everyone thinks.

The guy that comes into frame in the bottom left of that last gif is making me smile. His little head nod reaction in the moment between the punch landing and Loma bowing is great.

Dick punching your way to a victory doesn’t really count.
