Whew! No embellishment/diving penalty. For a second I thought they might eliminate the best part of the game: when guys pretend to get slapped then shoot free throws. So exciting!

It’s amazing to see a sports league be able to actually improve its rules, as opposed to making them so muddled and crowded with terms that you can’t even figure out what a catch is.

Spokane’s stadium was already booked for other things. If this series had gone to five games, all would have been in Eugene even though Spokane technically had the home field advantage. Such are the vagaries of life in Short Season A baseball.

Get this . . . if the Bears hadn’t gotten Mack, the Packers were next in line. This game would’ve looked VERY different with Mack on the other side of the ball. 

Coming from a Packers fan, if he plays like this each game, it was worth it.
