I would have thought the SCTV connection between Short and Levy would be more of an “of course” thing.

Today they are sad tissues.

He was hysterical in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

God, I’m so fucking tired of relentlessly exhausting orange fuckball.

Whenever I see a story like this I’m just so grateful I managed to quit driving.

I personally think Murmur is just about the greatest debut album in rock history (There are others, of course. The Clash, for one, did pretty good as beginners!) Nothing else is remotely like Murmur. You feel like you’re in the middle of somebody’s dream. I’m happy to say I was part of a campus radio station at Auburn

Mike Mills came by the radio station I was working at, about 10 years ago. I ran and hid. No way am I going to embarrass myself in front of him! My coworkers said he was nice and friendly.

I’ve been listening to their first three (full-length) albums lately and they really hold up; especially Murmur. I’m friendly with Don Dixon, a producer on the first two. What a lovely gentleman he is. His wife, recording artist, Marti Jones is also delightful. Just fully-realized humans; very present.

I enjoyed Red Skelton’s appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Something is definitely going to happen on that boat!

I hear in the movie Ridley’s character believes the whole time she’s a nobody born to non-descript parents, until the end when she learns her real dad is Johnny Weismuller.

Marginalizing Daisy Ridley is totally on brand for Disney.

He also confirms that he does get Tom Cruise’s famous Christmas coconut cake. “It’s so good. It makes me believe in a lot of things.”

Obviously he’s playing Turner D. Century.

Absolutely. Hemsworth was just recently talking about how much fun it was to get to play a villain in Furiosa, as well. I feel like playing someone diabolical would just be a lot of fun in general.

I’m not an actor, but I can imagine it is a lot of fun to play a character that is very different from your actual personality.

And it still just delights me that, at least in interviews, he comes off as so bubbly and just full of joy, so him having become an iconic movie/TV bad guy is so wild in contrast.

At this point I think Giancarlo Esposito could make “undisclosed villainous role” the motto on his family crest.
