This is correct. They’re scared, they’re not very well educated and they picked the guy who promised to save their jobs and towns (since in much of small town America, the job IS the town) over the woman who said “your industry is dying; we have to evolve.” Assuming, you know, she even decided to visit them at all.

She’ll be 71 years old. Not a good fit for a populace looking to get away from old white career politicians, plus I don’t recall her ever expressing any desire to run.
