Yeah this is sideshow culture in its full idiotic glory. Remember that video of the girl who coughed on an Uber driver in SF and later posted videos about how she didn’t regret anything? That’s the same type of Bay Area person shown here.

I saw the image and immediately knew this was some sideshow idiot in SF

I dig the look and would have happily replaced my Saturn Astra with this. Sadly I had to scrap it this year with only 106k miles because it had EVAP issues that were becoming too expensive to diagnose and fix

The way the nearly flat back just jams up into the sloping roofline feels so unresolved. I’m a big fan of Volvo design but it seems here they tried too hard to merge their wagons and SUVs

I’ve long wanted a Ridgeline but knowing the Maverick and Santa Cruz were coming I was holding out hoping for a more fuel efficient AWD trucklet. Guess I can finally pull the trigger as I’m not seeing the size tradeoff advantage of the Santa Cruz or Maverick AWD models

If buyers don’t care about AWD drive, yes. But assuming the AWD Maverick gets the same or a little worse than the Bronco Sport’s 26 combined MPG the difference isn’t as huge. Wish Ford was offering the hybrid with AWD and/or Hyundai launched the Santa Cruz with a hybrid

I’ve long wanted a Ridgeline. It’s more than enough truck for me but I haven’t been able to swallow the price or gas mileage. This thing is soooo close to what I want but that short bed has me feeling like it would serve about 75% of my needs. If it’s priced well I’ll probably pull the trigger

I would think that odds of a PHEV are pretty high considering that the PHEV Tuscon is launching this summer. That is if they sell enough of them to begin with. A PHEV version of this would be the perfect car for me but I’m afraid if I don’t show up and support the gas version we’ll never see the PHEV

My wife’s volt is primarily used for her commuting to work (50 miles roundtrip). When our first kid arrives I’m thinking it will be too small to get the kid in and out, but she doesn’t really want a bigger car. I’m also thinking this would be the perfect replacement the volt given that she would just be using it for

A bunch of dinosaurs here. I can understand wanting to own your music collection, but offline access is a non issue these days

I can appreciate that GM is breaking away from their typically conservative approach and jumping from the Bolt to electrifying the Silverado. But personally I wish they’d start with an electric (or at least plug in hybrid) Colorado. I’d buy that in a heartbeat

Ah good old fashion colonial mentality. “But they’re better off now that we’re here!” The old residents only have access to that wealth if they sell and move way out of the area (which of course would make gentrifiers happy). Some will take advantage of that. Others don’t want to move. Either way the existing

I’m in the market for a CUV and the cargo space is the only thing giving me pause about the Ioniq 5. Otherwise I love everything about it.

I get the term gets overused by marketing depts to fluff up PRs, but it is a legit design term. Hate away, but know the proper usage. The established placement of headlights would be an example of a design pattern. Design language refers to the set of moves that express a certain theme (aggressiveness) and make a

I’m going to try my luck at seeing if I can get a dealer to budge on a 2020 Ridgeline Black Edition. With the better looking facelift versions hitting lots I was expecting the advertised prices of 2020 models to drop but they are holding strong. Honda is currently offering 0% financing so maybe they’re trying to see

I see Hyundai and Audi as two ends of a spectrum. Personally I think Hyundai design is a little too all over the place. But I can appreciate that at this point in their company history they are prioritizing exploration over consistency

A guy on my high school track team had one of these and the shotput guys once lifted it from its parking spot and carried it over and dropped it into the landscaped center median of a busy street

Yeah it’s got the same proportions where it looks like a lifted sedan that’s squished on both ends

Damn as habitual procrastinator this hit home.

I had the same reaction and am also struggling to put my finger on it. For me it has to do with the creases above and below the Genesis logo. The top one looks cool - almost like a ducktail spoiler. The lower one feels like a cheap late aughts car. Maybe I’m not used to seeing the Genesis logo, but it feels like a
