+1. It’s basic behavioral economics. I think the driver in this case was rightly charged for negligence, but they shouldn’t have been the scapegoat. If a paid tester was lulled into a false sense of the prototypes capabilities, then the concept needs rethinking. But these companies aren’t interested in validating the

Damnit GM just focus on the cars and leave the software to the professionals

The fact teenage me would have loved it so much makes me feel embarrassed for the arrested development adults that buy this thing

+1. Don’t mind the cars, but the owners are people who never had an interest in cars before and still think owning a Tesla gives them some kind of tech cred even though the early adopter phase has long been over. Or they’re Musk fanboys.

“Tesla buyers today are historically Honda and Toyota buyers of the past,” Loren McDonald, EVAdoption CEO, told Automotive News. “They’re switching over to Model 3s and Model Ys.”

I’d really like to get a minivan as our next car, but every minivan on the market has at least one dealbreaker. For the Sienna its the non removable second row. Can’t get a Pacifica hybrid in AWD. Odyssey and Carnival don’t have a hybrid option. Sienna is the closest to my ideal van so that makes the seat thing extra

Loved our Chevy Volt as a daily driver and weekend trip car but yeah when you needed to pack anything bigger than a couple carry on, no bueno.

I don’t think GM is or ever was committed to an electric future. They’ll abandon their new EVs when they fail to gain early traction like they did with their first EVs and then hybrids. The investment in their ICE engines is them hedging their EV bet

Yeah it’s weird because there’s a guardrail all along that portion of the road coming out of the tunnel. The only place there isn’t a guardrail is the turnout for the Devil’s bunker and there a bit of land and brush before you go over the edge

Maybe they plan to replace Buick with Escalade as they try and go further upmarket with Cadillac?

Agree. It would be incredibly wasteful if they were just scrapped

Where is the hybrid news Hyundai? I like the looks of the santa cruz much more than the Maverick but the current gas mileage is a non starter for me

I saw the photo and got super excited that we were getting an electric Ridgeline. Bummer

The front and rear overhang proportions of the Polestar 2 always felt weird to me. Looks better as an SUV

Currently leasing a 2020 and kind of regret not outright buying it. It’s an awesome little daily for running errands, parking in the city, zipping around town. The other day a guy in a fox body mustang was tailgating me as I was leaving the small streets of my neighborhood to get on to a main road. He tried whipping

Has Buick ever really had a distinct design language? To me it carries the spirit of the old boat coupes

Don’t really like how the chrome trim makes the roof look super tapered where it meets the A pillar, but i’m being nit pickey. Overall love how the concept is a nod to the old Buick boats while feeling futuristic. A modern take on the old space age designs

wow can’t believe I haven’t seen those Dr. Phil images before. In either case it’s interesting to see what you get when you combine person-with-zero-taste + money + access to niche corners of american culture.

If I could offer a friendly photography critique - there are a lot of objects here competing with the car for the viewer’s attention. It feels like you may have been trying to play the car off too many things at once - the building behind it, the sign and pump, the entire rustic scene. Picture might have worked better

The CX-50 is a way better looking vehicle. Looking forward to this powertrain being added to the CX-50
