I have a relative who has lived in the H street area since leaving grad school in the 90s. He bought two places back then and has seen the values shoot up with the ongoing gentrification.

I recently responded to a post on NextDoor because I had an experience that seemed similar to something that was originally posted there. My experienced involved an extremely poorly attempted assault—it was scary, but no one was hurt and I got out of there and went home to bed.
