Donald Trump’s purchase of a portrait of himself

It’s all good. All of this just reconfirms that Hillary was right, and I’m ok with that.

Yes. I want tweets whenever she has a bowel movement. Picture optional.

It’s almost understandable, though. She’s been conditioned that every utterance or action, no matter how normal, will be turned into a conspiracy, and the the “some people say” brigade will allow the crazy to make the jump to the legitimate press.

Much of success in this life simply comes down to managing expectations. Set the bar high and you’re likely to be observed as desperately reaching for it; the masses heckling you as you do. Set the bar low and you can cooly sit on it while you take a dump in front of the world, both middle fingers held high to those

Ah yes, Republican Jesus. Whose 'likes' include: guns, capitalism, war, the military, hating people that are different from you, farm subsidies, and tax cuts. 'Dislikes' include: teacher’s unions, the poor, healthcare, alcohol, people who have sex, The Gays, and “rendering unto Caesar what belongs unto Caesar.”

Can Jalopnik pretty please make a on-going, periodically updated chart comparing all of the autonomous cars? Things like how the system works, how many sensors (and how they work), logged miles to accident ratio, how autonomous it really is, etc. The more comparables the better.

Here's an idea. How about turning the shit off until you get the tech perfected so dumbasses won't kill themselves thinking the car will drive itself? Great way to beta test, using your customers as Guinea pigs.

So I think we should have a debate with no moderator.

One thing I’ll never get over is how cheap and shoddy all of Trump’s business and political operations seem to be. You would think that a guy with as much money as he seems to have would be able to throw gobs of money around and get someone competent to at least make the techcnical aspects of his campaign look good —

I wasn’t sure if I should be outraged or not when I read the reference. But now I’m outraged that they made me feel outraged so I can join in with the other outraged comments.

Everybody from New York on my Twitter feed has been complaining about the weather for the past couple days. Perhaps we should trust the observations of people who were actually there rather than trying to armchair-gauge a temperature halfway across the country from us?

It was over 80. She was a short person in a crowd of people, making it hotter. Humidity was high. She was wearing a shirt, long sleeve coat, and a kevlar vest. She got overheated. We know this is it because SHE WALKED OUTSIDE UNDER HER OWN POWER ABOUT AN HOUR LATER.

No pun intended, but judging from these comments, we’ve entered the “whistling past the graveyard” stage.

OMFG. I never do this but - this is our headline here at the Slot? Really? The email clearly says she wants to “bring along the state department” and asks for advice. Where is the “bypassing” attempt, exactly?

With every barn that comes down, the classic landscape of American farmland littered with wooden barns fades away. The National Barn Alliance is trying to make sure that doesn’t happen by preserving the buildings it can and documenting those that will come down.

I think most people (even some of us a bit hypocritically) resent those who have the luxury of being super precious about these things.

Your passive-agressive “what have you done?” snark-question to the original commenter implies that you consider being born to famous parents as an achievement of some sort, one that is “more” than, well, NOT being born to famous parents, I guess.

jada? is that you?

“Willow was doing all these things, about to have record label deals at like the age of 6, and I was like, ‘I feel like I’m underachieving.’”
