Yes, the developer side of things makes them different, but I think the basis of the comparison is a vast open world with little to do. Both games felt distinctly unfinished at launch.

Smite has such ridiculously good core gameplay, but the lower levels are hard to slog through. Keep it on your radar, it does get better if you can make it up to level 30.
Paragon was my MOBA of choice and I’m sad it’s gone. I have played many others but something about Paragon clicked for me. I just wish the devs would have stopped changing mechanincs so drastically every few patches. I feel(as do tons of others) like that’s what did the game in. RIP game that never saw it’s true…
They recently added multiqueue, which fixes a lot of that if you don’t care about game mode. But yeah, queues can suck.
Also, if they thought this video was exonerating, that’s pretty disturbing. Like they don’t see anything wrong with this type of behavior.
Agreed. My friend and I played four hours of it a few weekends ago to give it a farewell send-off. It will be missed.
