I mean... there’s a massive difference. With Fortnite’s PVE loot boxes you’re literally gambling on in-game content with ridiculously low drop rates (the highest tier of character class in Fortnite was locked behind a loot box drop with stupidly low rates - you could spend thousands of dollars and not get one), and

Crypt of the Necrodancer was one of my surprise favorite releases. It feels weird at first but the gameplay mechanics were unbelievably tight and well put together. This is going to be an amazing game.

Yeah. Putting the worst level of mobile-gaming lootboxes in a pay-to-play early access game (Fortnite in PVE before it hit gold with the BR craze) leaves me with very little faith about Epic trying to “good guy” with “better practices” in its store, etc.

For a hot second I was like, “Damn, really excited for Frozen 2, eh Luke?”

That was how I learned poker: the Leisure Suit Larry 7 demo, which featured strip poker.

Ignore the haters - I’d enjoy this as well. Apparently an early datamine showed a scrapped team deathmatch mode, so there’s hope yet.

Yeahh. Grew up on Space Jam. I remember that song being sung in school etc. Had no idea it was an R. Kelly song.

More sense, tbh. I don’t understand what plane of existence those two exist on. Sometimes I think I kinda wanna live there, though?

I didn’t, but that was always one of my favorite user made map staples.

Man, this just reminds me of my favorite Unreal and Unreal Tournament user made maps that were giant bathrooms. Early modding was a wild time.

Portlander here. Actually just moved outside the city about twenty minutes because my old apartment was getting in one last rent increase in and it would have swallowed my entire raise last year.

Yeah... I was so hyped for Forsaken, and then somehow I barely played it. I adored D1 and I tried so hard to love D2 (it’s so smooth on PC), but holy hell, did I burn out hard. Hell, I even have the Forsaken Season Pass, and I haven’t booted the game up once since the first DLC drop.

Never played SW, but briefly played the Might and Magic title that launched recently, and apparently that was a straight-up reskin clone as well. Not surprising, I guess - the mobile market has never been shy about straight up copying other games.

I’ve been enjoying (and spending waaaaaay too much on) Dungeon Hunter Champions since it launched last year. They pulled a lot of SW mechanics I guess (never played it), but it has real-time action combat which is actually a lot of fun, plus a really great art style.

That’s most gacha games these days tbh.

This is legit (if difficult to enact when you’re pretty deep down the rabbit hole of why you suck). I picked this up from a friend a few years back when I really needed it, and it really helped. Unfortunately I’ve slipped back into my old ways. Coming up on 33 and not being in a long-term relationship in 6+ years

This was my favorite starter kit as well, but recently I’ve been having more fun with the R-301/R-99 combo. (Great hipfire for less skilled plebs like me, and something about the way the shots land is just hugely satisfying.) I’ve been switching to the EVA-8 when I go to shotgun, too - I didn’t like it at first

The Butterfly Effect was a severely fucked up movie. I think they blew up a baby too at one point? I remember feeling pretty gross after watching that movie in high school (and I say this as a seasoned horror fan).
