Nice to see he’s following his core convictions and pledging allegiance to a country renowned for human rights, transparency, openness and peaceful interaction with its neighbors.

One of the more interesting defenses of Snyder comes from Matt Zoller Seitz, a critic I follow and generally admire. His take on Snyder’s JL was that if you’re looking for a comics-friendly take on the characters, a la Marvel, then you’re out of luck. But as a work of auteurist cinema, in the sense of a filmmaker

Joss Whedon is a writer’s director: he is more well known for his witty and sharp writing than he is for any directorial choices.

I think they got Margot Robbie right, in the sense that she nails the post-2011 Harley. I just hate post-2011 Harley and think pre-2011 Harley was better. And Cena as Peacemaker, but that character is so minor it doesn’t matter to me if they wanna throw out and recreate his character.

If Gunn does indeed goes with a Mister Terrific movie as part of his first slate of movies, it would seem he gets it.

I’ll pull a line from the first Avengers movie that summarizes this pretty well.

What is it about Warner Brothers that no matter who is running the ship, they still have no clue as to how these characters work, much less why Marvel has been successful!?! Something literally any fan could do.

It’s not less Batman, its less Batmen.

Perhaps you remember the controversy years ago during the Pearl Harbor Premiere when they flew a bunch of critics to Hawaii for the opening of the film plus a lavish ceremony, wined and dined, etc., and then, many of these critics gave a glowing review which showed the power of what happens when circumstances create a

A MONTH LATER:

the problem is you are trying to take reviewers opinions as fact instead of what they are. what you need is to find reviewers that align closely to what you personally feel about various movies and listen to those reviewers. for example my benchmarks are their opinions on:

Sadly, you hit the nail on the proverbial head here.

I felt like the Black Adam first reactions were pretty tame with a few even negative, especially (as you’re correct to point out) how generally positive early twitter reactions are.

I have no idea who most of the people reacting are, so there’s not much info there, but CPM used to trash every movie he reviewed as a writer for io9, so if it passes muster for him, that might actually mean something?

Nicholas Cage took it fair and sqare

A) The regime doesn’t matter, should we also take apart the pyramids and put them back together somewhere else just because the people who built them are dead? The rosetta stone was created by the residents of that area and should be in the possession of their decendants.
B) That is exactly how the US treats Native

It was honestly the only thing I knew about Black Adam until reviews started coming out.

It’s also just a couple of days early. A few diehard fans might drop everything to watch a lower quality stream but the vast majority will undoubtedly wait to see it at the usual time. And it’s not like HBO is missing out on ad revenue even if a small portion of their audience only watches it via pirated stream

there’s one thing alot of people don’t understand about youtube: everything that happens on there is AUTOMATED!

It’s not an investment. It’s gambling. Gambling is a form of entertainment.

When the jackpot gets big enough to be in the news, I buy tickets. For me, it’s worth a few bucks to have the chance to win, and to dream about what you’d do with the winnings.  Dreaming about $1000 isn’t worth a dollar to me.  I don’t dream
