I honestly think The Thick of It will one day be remembered as one of the greatest TV comedies of all time. I can’t think of many other shows that have made me laugh so hard and for so long and even re-watching them now so many years later, they’re still hilarious. I can’t love that show enough.

Plus NPH’s military intelligence outfit is, like, straight up Nazi. The other movies may be trash, and this might be a “terrible” adaption of the book, but it’s a great film once you get what’s really going on.

I’m 36 and I read and watch a lot of stuff, but I have to go with something a little more recent and say Mass Effect. SF and fantasy have been relentlessly cynical for decades, and it’s great to see a story where the “good” path isn’t portrayed as stupid, self-righteous or ineffective. I took so much away from that…
