That was the kicker. “Let me post a picture of you sleeping with your mouth open! But don’t worry, I’ll filter you to oblivion, I’m not *that* cruel.”

You always want to check your babies for freshness before purchasing them. Otherwise, they just go bad in the crisper, and you end up throwing them out before you can use them.

My dad (consultant physician - Australia) retired at 83. He loved his job, though and I'm sure he could have stopped earlier if he wanted to.

As one RN to another, I agree. Although it’s often well meaning, to call RNs or any healthcare worker “angels” or “heroes” is just another way to dehumanize us. It allows people to think we’re all super human, and therefore going to be ok and “rise above.” The subtext also being we don’t need better pay or working

It is so refreshing to read an article that does not fetishize nurses as larger than life angels or super-heroes. We are human beings. The deification stuff becomes a mind fuck. It denies you permission to be tired, scared, frustrated. I was on hiatus when this all broke out (thank you burnout). There’s a mix of guilt

Everything I have ever read about Hilaria Baldwin has to do with her being the “mysterious Spanish yoga instructor” who swept Alec off his feet.

I went on a date with someone I met at a bar (gave him my #) he had a British accent in the bar & on the phone. When I met him for our picnic he told me he was an “actor” practicing for a role. He was from Long Island too. Wonder if it’s the same guy. 😜

Which is for the best. The last thing he should be doing us providing fodder for tabloid rags.

He’s hot, but his loss!

Think what you want about the Marvel movies but Chris Evans is set for 20 lifetimes just from his pay from those movies, so I dunno if those were a bad choice for him.

Chris Pine is Fine.

That’s very good advice, but I also know that even if you can logically tell yourself that, it doesn’t always quell the anxiety.

Yes, women are capable of truly heinous acts, but let’s not pretend that it’s on the same level. “But but ... women do it too...” makes me roll my eyes HARD

And how about prison for those who ‘donated’?  I get that they’ll likely never be found, but that doesn’t mean that -a- there shouldn’t be a GOOD FAITH effort made to find them, and -b- they can’t be tried as unnamed co-conspirators.

I can’t imagine how they are dealing with it either. There have been some of them on some cable news shows and it’s heartbreaking and criminal what they are having to deal with. Some I saw a piece about are foregoing their own families for Thanksgiving so that their patients have someone’s hand to hold since those

I love this! What a neat way of using corner space in a creative way. I also love books and have them arranged and displayed on a shelf behind me during Zoom calls.

Utterly delightful. I love the way you’ve done up your shelves. So lovely to hear about your daughter too.

If I had to guess from the 5km condition, you’re in Melbourne?

what’s up with all of those blank white books behind her? She couldn’t find any from her book club that worked with her aesthetic

I’ve tried nearly that many in the last 20 years of my life. So, what are you taking now, and does it help?
