Me too. I felt shamed by the non-menthol community. I smoked them while at university 10 years ago but urgh I could go one about now.

I don’t feel like either work for me unfortunately. I did get put on double my dose (10mg morning and night plus 10 at midday) but it just made me worse.
Xanax is hardly ever prescribed where I live because of it’s risk of dependence, being a short acting benzo.
My current combination is valium, lamotrigine, dothep, quetiapine, temazepam, zopiclone. And an hour of therapy of therapy a week with my psychiatrist. I put on a professional face really well at work.
Thank you, I hope you’re getting through all of this. Not being able to see people makes it worse too.
Just Lexapro? I feel like a psych drug veteran. I mean, I am really. Here’s my super fun giant list of drugs I’ve tried and tested:
I don’t remember the taste but I know that my dad was a big fan. In the background of camping holidays and birthdays there’s always cans of Tab, goon bags and menthol cigarettes. I have a photo of my mum with a baby me smoking a menthol cigarette in one hand and a glass of what I assume (given all the other photographi…
I;m glad my kid isn’t into collecting any type of card (her dad was a huge Magic dork), but trading cards are banned at her school. Also, having a baby just prior to the pandemic has also not been the most fun. My baby has seen a very limited amount of faces without masks, seeing as where we live we’ve been very…
I unashamedly love this movie. My husband and I both do and rewatched it (with his sister, who thought it would be awkward, but it wasn’t because the movie isn’t gross, it’s a delight) a week or two ago. Just as good as the first couple of times. The petrol station scene is amazing. I love the whole thing. There’s…
It’s a different feel. Less of the serious side.
My husband got my name tattooed on his arm while we were engaged like 15 years ago (I strongly suggested at the time that he shouldn’t) and recently asked him what he’d cover it with if we divorced. I’ve thought about the possibilities but apparently he hasn’t. I would never get a partner’s name, let alone face/eyes…
Just wear a mask that meets the standards. Masks outside the home have been mandatory for months where I live. I have some nicer looking handmade ones that meet Dep Health standards but hardly use them because they’re too thick. I just have a big stash of black ones on rotation now, I don’t care anymore. For anyone in…
It looks good, I’ll definitely watch it if it’s available in Australia some time on something other than bloody Foxtel (on Binge hopefully). Weird that there’s American accents, having watched it a LOT of times when I was a kid but it’s reimagined so I’ll also try to reimagine it. Especially seeing as Stanley Tucci…
Bees! My kid learnt about our local species of endangered bees and now doesn’t want us to do anything to our garden because we have the one type of plant that species likes. I’m working on a compromise of moving the plant to a different yard location, but the school she goes to has turned her into a bees right…
In Victoria, Australia (for public sector employees), we have 14 weeks of paid leave for the primary carer and 2 weeks for secondary carer, with the remainder of the year on unpaid leave. Plus ‘Dad and Partner Pay’ from the federal government of 2 weeks on $753.90. Your employer must keep your job open when you want…
I was thinking of a ‘bend the knee’ nature but my brain isn’t functioning enough to make a dirty joke right now. It’s the thought that counts I guess.
Absolutely, and I feel like I want that answer to be my reply to any questions at all.
Ok, I am not American, but I am a “militant” unionist. My union is the biggest in the entire country (nurses and midwives) and we have around 95% union membership. It means we have better wages, better conditions (especially in my state where we have legislated nurse to patient ratios), legal representation etc. In…
I work for a NFP and love the work, but I get paid much less than I would at a government/public department. They are extremely petty and cry poor all the time, despite continually opening new ventures and publicly saying how well they’re doing and how happy their staff are.
I don’t know either of these people, and this is a very small point. However, I hate it when couples say “they” are pregnant. No, one of you is pregnant. The other one is not, and doesn’t have to deal with the horrors (not that everyone experiences it with horrors). And only one needs to give birth. I had one baby…
