Speaking of Netflix, can we have a bitch session about the recent UI overhaul?

I really love that they set up the traditional "hero pulls the villain back up from the edge" moment, only to have Korra SLAM HIM INTO THE GROUND. That was glorious in its sheer brutality.

Are you reading Demon Knights? I was clued onto that by someone online and I've really enjoyed it so far. It's like reading the story of a hilariously over-the-top D&D campaign in comics form.

@avclub-91546109eaf110327d50b0955865712a:disqus I'd much rather see Tarrlok reveal his bloodbending against Korra as actually happened, personally. It's far more dramatic that way.

It's a fantastic anime about 1930s alchemists, thieves, gangsters and a train robbery. I cannot recommend it enough; its atmosphere is wonderful, it juggles a great and varied cast of characters, and it has a very unique and interesting somewhat non-linear structure.

I cracked up so much at that moment. Beautifully done.

Well, some waterbenders could do that, as we saw in "The Puppetmaster". Seems like you just have to be really strong and can't pull that much, though.

Also, have we ever seen ice shards actually cut somebody before in Avatar? I think that's a first, and the fact that they cut up Korra that bad is another remarkable indication of just how much darker than its predecessor this series is.
