I like that we see some cracks in her perfect nice girl personality, too, both with the incredible volume of luggage she makes the guy carry and her angered glance at Mako and Korra in the rear-view mirror.

I disagree! I think they can handle things pretty well, and they're doing a massively good job of ratcheting up the tension. If they stay on the ball like this they can wrap everything up fine.

I really hope they reveal that Tarrlok has just been intimidating them, because otherwise their complete lack of any personality besides being a rubber-stamp for Tarrlok is really jarring.
