I haven't had that problem, thank goodness. But I have seen others who have and watched the youtube vids on how to fix it.

This game isn't running at full 1080p with those black bars. Anamorphic doesn't mean higher resolution. It's something like 1920x818.

That's not mine. Mine just started to peel a little bit so I covered mine with little gel grips from PDP, which help but I still hate the stick. That image is from the official playstation forums and it is more widespread than I would have hoped. I'm going to try replacing them with mod sticks.
