Hellbound was the last good Hellraiser movie. The one in space had a chance, but blew it completely.

I will certainly give it a shot, my hatred of the movie is very old at this point, and I am no longer looking for that UrHorror experience. The Descent and Resident Evil 7 in VR showed me my limits.

You know what? Nightbreed would have been excellent as an X-men universe Morlock movie.

To me it felt like if, in Hellraiser, Pinhead had shown up to obliterate Frank, but instead played tea with him and some neglected, ratty stuffed animals. And Alan Alda was there, for some reason.

Master of Illusion wasn’t great, aside from the brilliant stunt casting, but some of the imagery and tension still haunts me to this day. Barker has always been hit or miss for me, books and movies, but I always remember very vividly some piece of unpleasantness from every one of his works.
