Vague, fleeting memories of this movie haunted me as a child. Even when specifics about the plot and character have left me.

The Last Unicorn - (*lacking a spoiler tag so... spoilers!)I really loved the parts that dealt with ‘change’ in respect to the titular character’s identity as a unicorn.

Love Your Dum and Mad is just as great.

Thoughts:

As a small note, I was absolutely furious that even in this final episode, no one actually bothered to explain what the hell the Black Sky was supposed to be or why her capabilities seemed to vary to such an insane degree.

So they have already confirmed that Daredevil Season 3 will loosely follow the Born Again arc, which while making a lot of sense, also feels really weird with this finish as the whole point of that story is Kingpin learning that Matt was Daredevil, which he already figured out in season 2, and tearing Matt’s life

This finale left me really torn. This season of Defenders was an utter mess and this last episode reflected as there was just so much lazy writing, bizarre pacing and badly choreographed fights. I mean, you can choose to be contemplative and slow, but then you have to have better writing as you can’t rely on the

Apropos of nothing I would also like to say that even if the comment sections kinks get worked out, Kinja’s “one column stream” format is completely antithetical to the way AVC has approached content. I say this as someone who’s lived through many Twitter design changes and know that most are ridden out and forgotten.

Last episode I compared this show to a badly run D&D campaign, and this episode really drove it home. You’ve got four player characters, none with any real ties to one another, each with wildly different character motivations for moving through the story (and alignments, as the case may be - JJ is basically the one

Thinking on it, I feel like a lot of these plot issues come down to (primarily) the show lacking confidence in its own storytelling devices and (secondarily) needing to service several plotlines.

RE: Daredevil.

I know it wasn’t perfect, but overall I really enjoyed the show. I know there was a lot of fan concern regarding the villains - which is valid. I think for me personally it wasn’t much of a problem because I got what I primarily wanted from the series - which were the team dynamics. Not unlike The Avengers: I don’t

Foggy: “We just heard someone call in an All Units, to someplace called Midland Circle.”
Trish: “Did you say Midland Circle?”
Malcolm: “Yeah, do you know it?”
Trish: “That was the epicenter.”
Foggy: “Of what?”
Trish: “Of everything.”
Foggy: “...”
Karen: “...”
Malcolm: “So, what, like... the Big Bang, or...?”
Trish: “Sorry, no,

“Once we start that timer, there’s no turning back.”
“Actually, if we really needed to abort we could just pull the detonators out of the C4. It’s a remarkably stable explos—”
“I SAID THERE’S NO TURNING BACK!!”

Here I am again, just trying to figure out how to comment in this post-Disqus hell that AVClub has become.

I really hate seeing this three-tier business on the AV Club (Staff - Community - Pending). Beyond the fact that many old commenters somehow are in the grays, it suggests that somehow people whose comments are pending aren’t part of the “Community”. I keep recommending posts in the hopes that’ll get them ungrayed.

Bash from GLOW, motherfuckers

There are EIGHT authors listed on this and people are still in the greys. You can’t lay that off on the Kinja team either. That the merging failed is no surprise to those of us who’ve been using it for years, and that part is up to them to fix. But every one of you could take the split-second it takes to click the

Well I know it just ended, but...

This is fine.
