Wow. What a terribly written article about something stupid that should not be condoned in any way. Good work jalopnik. I remember when you used to not suck. What happened?

A star for the reference. I'd give two if I could.

I would star this twice if I could.

Interesting that you chose a stock photo with a CBC (Canadian broadcasting corporation) van in front of it....

Nope, just helps mitigate direct injection noise. And they leak. Always.

It’s actually almost exclusively to mitigate the noise of direct injection.

All I’m hearing is “Wah wah wah, I fucked up doing something dangerous and I don’t want to take accountability for my actions”

That’s mildly debatable, however I would never disagree - Fox is definitely the better of the two, but it’s a Mac vs Snap-On argument when it comes to performance. King was the leader for offroad for decades until Fox decided they should start marketing under their own name.

Except kings are pretty much the same gold standard....

Yeah.... 60s are *the* upgrade, and it’s an aftermarket one. It can handle a lot more tire and torque than that.

I know what you’re “supposed” to do. My 240 was dropped almost the exact same way by an idiot tow truck driver. I’m around tow trucks almost daily.

I don’t recall them handing out loaners when they were grounding Escapes for lighting on fire.... I was working as a tech at the time doing those recalls, but I honestly don’t remember them giving out rentals to everyone, just grounding vehicles and telling people they’d get fixed ASAP. And that arguably impacted a

Watching the video, I think the exact same thing happened to his car as mine. The toe-link and bracket is too low on 240s for the T-bar to grab the tires completely, especially once they lift it that high, so it pushes the tires out of the baskets and slides right off.

schadenfreud does nothing for me either.

Had a tow-truck driver drop my 240sx off the back of his rig towing it back to my house. Whole scenario was dumb. First he argued with me that it wasn’t RWD, until I showed him the rear differential (because it’s an import, it can’t be RWD; yes I’m serious, that was his argument). Then he picked it from the front,

Did you not get enough hugs as a child?

Yeah, well we set the bar low here.

Wow, succinct and accurate. Surprising from both EE and Jalop. Good work guys.

As I mentioned....

To be fair, the only part of it that is new or interesting is the fact that it applies the parking brake. And unless it automatically releases in drive (very likely) I forsee a lot of “make the car smell funny lever” moments.
