You are correct, most bigger teams are running a full bulkhead and a arms with the engine pushed back a few feet. Many sportsman class guys and recreational guys still run ibeam because its a cheap way to get massive travel and the scrub doesnt matter much off road.

Thats why they had 3 and 4 shocks per corner on some of the nutbar ones. Valving and 3 inch 6way bypass shocks werent really a thing yet

That doesn’t really touch on what I said at all. Also, I’m not sure that it’s fair to say the SCR system increased the Cummins’ fuel mileage. Getting rid of the DPF system sure does.

That was always my assumption as well, some type of grandfather clause, but the 6.7 came out around the same time as the other two had to add SCR systems, so I’m not sure.

DPFs work in conjunction with the EGR system to reduce NOx, but they are primarily for soot. I wasn’t aware they were using a different system to keep NOx in check, but obviously that didn’t work.

I’m gonna go with I’m talking about the Ford 6.7 Diesel, and the Chev 6.6 Duramax which are both in the same category as the 6.7 Cummins for $1000, Alex.

They were avoiding adding it because it’s a pain in the ass and one more thing for the customer to have to deal with/service.
