Maxwell Tani in the Daily Beast was surprised Spanfeller is doubling down on old-school banner ads rather than exploring subscription models. I can’t imagine who pays for Beast content--serious royal watchers, I guess--but I might be tempted for the Kinja sites. I hope it doesn’t come to that though.
