That was the first thing that came to my mind, an H2 is just a fatter squarer Suburban. Only thing I can figure is the H2s weight was already stressing the chassis a bit further than a standard Suburban.

An older one would be more expensive and more expensive to get parts for. Pray you find an older one converted to 12volt, if you do and it is in that good of condition you’ll pay easily $3000 more for it.

It doesn’t make sense to take a car in this complete of condition and then convert it it to a baja. Start with something a bit cheaper that way you don’t end up wasting money taking off good parts and dealing with the hassle of selling the good parts to make up the difference.

Sure if you want a Baja, but I would rather have one with the classic original look, so I’ll take the red one.

I have significant experience with 1970 Beetles, seeing as at one time we owned a hard top, a convertible, and a 69 parts car. We bought the two 70s for $1500-$2000 each, trust me it is worth the money to spend a little more for a more complete car. The hard top didn’t run was missing a seat and the convertible had

Sure he’s wrong, but he does have a point. Look at the number of corporations moving out of Cali for more business friendly locations. i.e Toyota

I wonder if Chevy still has the tooling to the old Geo and Daewoos laying around somewhere. Build 9000 of those and say here, now give us our stuff back.

In the long run, GM probably doesn’t and won’t care about reestablishing operations in Venezuela. They couldn’t turn a profit in Europe, I doubt they were making one there either. Even if they were, it probably wasn’t a fraction of a percent to the overall GM business. My bet is it cost GM more to keep operations

Reluctant CP, if you are mechanically inclined individual and familiar with these issues that is probably a good deal.

Are those Ford Explorer Sport Trac taillights?

Might be the nicest one in the Northeast, because the rest can be swept into a pan? 7k for a shabby looking Rabbit Pickup with no provenance on an engine swap, CP. Never buy someone else’s unfinished project.

Every article I see about New York makes it seem like a terrible place to live. Yet every backwards friggin’ New York transplant that makes it to Florida talks about how great New York is and I’m all like then go back there. Florida Man is really transplanted New York Man.

25K for a Kia Soul?!? I don’t care if they shoe horned an LS or a 2JZ or insert performance motor here and trimmed it out like a Rolls Royce, I still wouldn’t pay 25K for a Kia Soul.

CP That suspension looks way over-stressed. I would rather have the truck with a toy hauler RV trailer. You still have the benefit of the truck and car hauler with more space for activities.

Compared to other engines of their generation they were incredibly reliable. We’re talking the stuff from the 50s, 60s, and early 70s when 40k mile engine out rebuilds weren’t uncommon and rolling over the 5 digit odometer was rare. Go to any car show and look at the number of cars from that era that have their

BR-NOLA quite regularly.

They still weren’t built terribly well.

CP solely for the fact that a friend of mine had one with about 30k more miles on it at the time he got rid of it and it was crap. I don’t know if something went wrong with the suspension or just the bumpy concrete highways of Louisiana, but it ate a set of rear tires cause they were bottoming out on bumps. He ended

In my personal experience, I bought the premium maintenance package when I purchased my car, so my oil changes don’t cost me anything. Point #2 it is really hard to save any money doing it yourself. Point #3 I don’t know anyone who has a garage at home with an oil pit or a lift. I also used to go to Firestone for my

A message to keyboard fetishists and manufacturers; some of us want fancy keyboards with number pads. Why do most of these things eschew the number pad and F keys? My favorite boards usually have more than the standard set, but the only place to get those is the usual Logitech, Razer, Corsair people.
