Then why post in the first place? Just to be superior? Cool? What? If you want your position/statement utterly unchallenged best to keep it to yourself and save everyone time and bother.

Dude’s from Northern Ireland and was raised during the time of The Troubles. Violence was very common at that time, a way of life for a lot of people.
I’m conflicted on this story.
Maybe because Liam Neeson, of his own free will, offered up a private story of his own shittiness and talked about how awful it was. While his story is, honestly, really disturbing, it does still show some honest self reflection.
Yes, right after asking a question, which is pretty disingenuous
It must be exhausting to be you all the time.
So you want to ask questions but don’t want to learn anything?
Is he really getting the benefit of the doubt? It seems like there’s a lot of corners of the internet that are still pretty upset with him.
Ah. K.
You read the part where he said he doesn’t care, right?
Yes, clearly Famous Hollywood Movie Star Liam Neeson was wandering around Northern Ireland pubs in 2010 looking for hate crimes to commit. That was the obvious, non-racist apologist way to read it.
LOL
You’re just asking a question!
“It shocked me. It hurt me. I did seek help. I went to a priest…I am not racist. This was nearly 40 years ago.”
I think much of it has to do with what they said about their past words, thoughts, behavior. Being unapologetic, or insincerely apologetic, is vastly different from someone who legitimately realizes and states how their past actions/etc were wrong.
Yeah targeted Violence against the Irish in Belfast 40 years ago? What an absurd thought!
He addressed why he brought it up.
Nail on the head here. If you want to say “Well he had these thoughts decades ago so obviously he’s a horrible racist!”, you’re not helping. If you say “I’m triggered by this story!” then that’s your hangup, you have to work through your own feelings. I honestly applaud the guy for making the statement he did in…
It’s wrong because most kanji in Japanese have two(but often times more) readings a Chinese reading and a Japanese reading. These readings change depending on what kanji or hiragana are around them.
Crazy idea: if you absolutely HAVE TO get a tattoo in a language you do not speak yourself, find a tattoo artist that does speak the language. Or get your japanese tutor to accompany you to the tattoo place
