He’s right in line with garden-variety Republicans. This is a statement about garden-variety Republicans, not Musk. There’s no grown up or reasonable core anymore.

I’m hoping any settlement (including via court order) includes an on-air admission and apology from every host involved.

Now you’re talking. Revenge of the Sith era Obi-wan time travels to Jedi era Luke, then takes him to Rise of Skywalker anything and is like “This is the nonsense that will happen if you open that stupid school.”

Boom. Clean slate. Start over. Bonus points if they put a Flux Capacitor in a modified Slave One.

Never saw it. But if it was handled well, forget it. I was thinking more like Star Wars meets Back to the Future II (a great movie whose premise would be bonkers in the Star Wars universe).

Oh PLEASE introduce time travel to the Star Wars universe. That’s exactly what it needs!

(I know, I know. It’s not in the known plans, but it would sure be something. You know George Lucas would have done it.)

It’s not as awful as the 1993 live-action film, but that’s such a low bar, you don’t need a power-up to cross it.”

I get the feeling that line was written as soon as the movie was announced and this whole review is a setup to close with it.

I love how ridiculous and detailed this is. Fun write up!

Tom Hanks is playing the requisite Bill Murray character because even Wes Anderson is tired of Bill Murray, I assume (hope)?

Probably Mormonism. See also: Orson Scott Card's bigoted ass.

Completely agree. Thank you for making this point. Two of my favorite books are The Count of Monte Cristo and The Westing Game. They’re both classics as far as I’m concerned, and the “reading level” gap is pretty significant.

Hahah! I did the Oprah / Uma thing in my head with these two when I read that name. I’m so glad I’m not the only one with this psychosis.

I was hoping there’d be a plot twist where the balloons were attached to one of the cars. That would have been kind of wild.

A Star Wars entry with good dialogue would be a surprise, to be sure. But a welcome one.

Completely agree.

Snatch is GREAT movie.

Ultimately, he’s a tragic figure. He does get killed in the end.”

I’d guess “Senior in high school” explains that. I remember basically the same thing. Everyone (my age) thought he was awesome, especially for the McDonalds scene. I didn’t actually see the movie until some years later and remember being surprised that he wasn’t the good guy. I probably would have bought into it in

Although a Special Edition where Return of the King only ends once would be alright.

At a glance, I thought that image said “hypnotoad” and thought wow, that AI is either really off the rails, or really advanced.
