This isn’t the best part of the Porsche space in Paris. There’s also a 959, 996 GT1, Carrera GT and 918 Spyde line-up, all in silver. Incredible.
France isn’t insisting that their descent is ignored. It insists that origins are a deeply personal matter, and how you acknowledge it or not, feel part of a community or not, decide to identify with a people’s history or not, is entirely up to you. The State, or anyone else, can’t decide to apply an identity to you,…
The Twingo also turns 25 this year. So come here and get one! I’ve owned one as my first car, I cannot recommend it enough as a fun cheapo daily. Cheap doesn’t get any more cheerful than this!
PSA is changing these days you know. Peugeot is succesfully moving upmarket, especially with critically-acclaimed SUVs like the 2008 and 3008. Citroen on the other hand has the DS brand, fully playing up the quirky French premium card. Most of their cars are losing ground right now because they’re getting old, but…
I know you guys never got it in the US, but surely the Citroen C3 Pluriel is clearly a modular car?
He is a clear nutjob. Not exactly in a Trump, dumb-but-in-a-destructive way, more in a really dark, fascist, pure villain way. Even the leaders of the FN, the far-right party here in France, say he’s a crazy person. Nefarious person. Every once in a while he’s on the news for something outrageous and nazi like that.
A little perspective on that from France, where the license is much harder to get and easier to lose.
I knew I could count on you for any racing cat news Alanis!
But you’re cheating! You just put a Steve McQueen in the thing! Of course it’s cooler!
Oh yeah that’d get pretty high. Doesn’t Ralph Lauren have one, too?
Maybe the Embiricos Bentley? I have no idea what this one might fetch.
What English car could come up for more than that? Maybe the original Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost (AX 201), which has been insured for $35 million, and is ironically enough property of Bentley now.
Well I don’t take TGV very often, but I’d say it’s a bit hit or miss depending on the train itself or the line. SNCF, the only train operator, is basically a government agency and they’re hemorrhaging money, so maintenance isn’t always at its best, especially on TGV which is were they lose a lot of that money.
Funny you should say that, in France the train food is the butt of many jokes for being quite shitty and overpriced!
STOP IT! You’re making their value go up! You all need to wait until I get one!
That sprayed Evo from a couple of days ago was this, but done so much better.
Love me some fat sidewall!
I have no idea how hard it would be to send one to the states though, or even just the one seat.
Now, if you want very (very) ‘70s sports seats, you’d be in the wrong if you went with anything else that the ones from the Renault 17 cars. Also apparently quite comfortable, from what I hear!
