To be fair, if he did bleed at unexpected intervals of intensity for days at a time, he would have it considerably worse than you.

Okay well... teach them about menstruation if you must. But don't you DARE tell them what goes on in the girls' bathroom. If they find out about the cotton candy machines, they will whine *SO* much....

Yes, I had a very similar experience. The way you described the double standard of being pretty enough, but not the cause of seduction was so spot on. I was always disgusted by that. Like it was our job to be an ornament that a husband could brag about, but damn you if you cause another guy to get hard!! Ha.

"Purity culture" is religious. "Rape culture" isn't. Those are two separate concepts.

Pure Vanilla Ladyfingers

Purity culture goes hand-in-hand with rape culture. Imagine a young woman who has been molested or raped after being indoctrinated with this purity message. How much less likely is she to report the crime? How much more likely is she to blame herself? How is she likely to feel about herself, knowing she has lost what

Sleep. Believe it or not, it's the best you can do for yourself right now. I stopped preparing about 5 days before my first comp. Ours are timed 8 hour long comps. I had two days back to back and sleep was the best thing I did for myself. I have an anxiety disorder and took some meds to help, though. I prepared

Are you my twin?

Just watched a bunch of Pierre videos and now have a deep urge to purchase a metallic gold jumpsuit

So the only men who can be rated are the ones that allow themselves to be rated?

What elitist crap. Culturally, I have always been expected to live in a small 2-bedroom apartment or condo with my parents and my spouse and probably have a kid by now in my later 20's. So I would obviously not be deemed worthy of providing a loving home to a dog.

If my parents had been the ones to adopt this dog, then found out what happened, there would have been an "I'm sorry, kids, the right thing to do is give this dog back to its owners." The fact that they're not giving her back means they are just as shitty as the people in the shelter who made the decision.

I realize there are children involved and I feel awful for those kids...

I had to warn my dad about this - he's been watching the show from the beginning, and even though he's pretty sick of it by now, he's a completionist. He's also a widower, and I think that, if it plays out this way, it could have hit him really hard.

you're not. different strokes i suppose, i'm more of a tim and eric kinda gal.

Am I the only one who doesn't find this show the least bit funny?

Yeah, I'm still finishing up my PhD and want to be "settled". Problem is, I have endometriosis, which is associated highly with infertility, meaning I may never be able to have kids. I also suffer from a mood disorder (although I am very very stable) and may also never be able to adopt.

My home births were, by far, healthier and more calm than any hospital could have provided. The midwife I used, who owns a local birthing center, has rights at two hospitals. She also works with an on/gyn for women with complications, having multiples or wanting a vbac (all which must be delivered in a hospital). If

This is a little confusing. Are you saying that people who are the victims of sexual exploitation and/or violence by their spiritual leaders deserve it?

I think we need to turn it into a video! You could start an FB page. Btw, here is the instagram image I promised.
