What I hate most about this is that people keep saying, "that's their job". Screw that, wanting to be an actor or a singer does not mean you sign up for all of these. It's possible to love performing without liking all the fuss that happens when you get of the stage.

Francesca Eastwood and Jordan Feldstein look a little bit like Disney villains.

I wonder if they need a window.

Well, he DOES have a penis, so that's pretty much the same thing. But really, I'm sure he's just concerned about the HEALTH of these women.

I didn't realize I had been sensitized to this language until a coworker used "gypped" earlier today, and I couldn't believe she'd just used a racial insult when talking about tips.

Libra is such a fascinating read, so interesting in the way it puts things together. Another very different take (probably much more fictionalised) is 11/22/63 by Stephen King. Interesting portrayal of Oswald and his life just prior to the assassination.

Now I feel guilty that I can walk into any store I want and not get harassed. Thanks, Obama.

Then moved in with my boyfriend and had to figure it out, because he hated laundry so much he was willing to trade a bunch of other chores if I washed his clothes.

I'm a man! How do you expect me to handle these lady-tasks? I'm just so darn DUMB I can't stand it! Please, woman, come save me from my natural man durr-ness.

You can make him better, stronger...
And more conscientious of filth.

I would also really like to know whether or not his personality changed substantially over time, if it was overnight, or whether was always sort of 'off' but was charming, or convincing or whatever.

Well yes. Being in relationships will change people. I didn't go into my relationship wanting to change my significant other, but it happened. I made his particular kind of crazy a little less, through a weird sort of unintentional training.

I read it over a year ago and don't remember all the deets, but it's divided into 3 case studies, and one of them is migrant workers in the south.

I dunno, would Hitler have gassed all those Jews if he'd gotten into art school? Unless you have a time machine, I don't see the point in asking stupid questions.

Another great source of info about modern day slavery is the book "Nobodies" by John Bowe, who did years of investigative research in the United States and abroad to put together this book.

Am I the only one who thought of Monica on Friends when she said that?
