Good. SUV’s are the downfall of society. All trucks and SUV’s should be limited to 70mph because of their greater impact on the environment and inferior handing and roll over risk when compared to a car. you should also have to pay a large/heavy vehicle tax.

I appreciate unique engine swaps - one of my favorite builds ever is powered by a K-series - and another one was a 2JZ-GTE into a 77 Celica but the truth of the matter is if you’re swapping a gasoline engine for another gasoline engine and it isn’t a Coyote, LS, 2J, or K-series - you probably picked the wrong engine

So my first swap was a 6.0L LQ4 cam/headers/TBSS intake and it made 420whp/410wtq (through an unlocked automatic transmission so) and I had $1450 into the engine. It wouldn’t surprise me to hear that the turbo VR6 is more expensive by a factor of 8-10.

the people who shit on LS swaps are the most insufferable of automotive enthusiasts.

“This 550-horsepower VR6 is yet another reason not to put an LS under your hood.”

I’ll never understand how the F1 makes money given how poor of a product they produce.

As someone who was part of the suspension design process for the vehicle on the supplier side, I can say unequivocally that the suspension on the BT1XX platform - is a giant hunk of shit. In FEA testing the rear suspension mounting locations folded like a cheap suit at max jounce, and the front suspension the shock

EV’s are absolutely going to displace manufacturing jobs as well as eliminate white collar engineering jobs.

V-10, manual transmission, no ABS, no side windows, no automatic transmission, terrible suspension and build quality like it was made in someone’s home garage. It’s the epitome of a hot rod. It has more in common with a T-bucket than a contemporary Corvette did at the time.

Absolutely the First Gen Viper. The Epitome of a factory “Hot Rod”

Distracted driving is far more dangerous than speeding. I’ll support big penalties for using a cell phone while driving. they should be in line with drunk driving, because its proven to be MORE dangerous.

No its about using the right tool for the job. I mean if we had been an enlightened nation we’d have hundreds of nuclear power plants providing the cleanest safest energy we can currently produce. but as we still rely on fossil fuels for electricity generation, not to mention the cost, and environmental impacts of

Terribly styled, rides like shit, poor interior quality, boring to drive. that’s what I would consider a terrible car.

It’s not that I don’t like progress, or long for the days of bell bottoms and 8-tracks, but a small battery and 100 miles of range with a 1.0l generator in a PHEV makes much more sense for most Americans.

The bolt and leaf were available for around those prices... Nobody bought them.

Good news, you don’t have to, the Plug-in Hybrid Pacifica is much less than 60k. 32 miles BEV range is enough to make the school run.

Exactly, affordable EV’s have been on the market for a while, and people choose not to buy them because generally they’re terrible cars, and you get far more bang for your buck when it comes to ICE vehicles.

I think the perfect example of racing real, but modified cars is the GT3/GTLM/GTP class racing.

1st Gear :

It’s boring because they aren’t racing real cars. The only racing worth watching is where the vehicles raced are based off of production vehicles.
