Part 1 just went up, but we’re going to be doing a multi parts series on my car
Anyone else have Fallout 76 for Xbox One?
This past week was a busy one for me.
I’ll do a full write up of the experience later but here is my fastest lap during the Corvette Level 1 Class at the Ron Fellows Corvette Racing School on the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch North-South Track.
Well as some of you might know last summer I LS swapped my 1986 Monte Carlo SS. I was finally able to get it on a chassis dyno.
This seems like a killer buy on a very cheap TA roller in good condition. Perfect for that Turbo 5.3 LS swap.
This past Sunday I got up early to go an Autocross about 1.5 hours from my house. I loaded up the Monte and got on the road. About an hour in of mostly just cruising up the highway, no screwing around I felt a shimmy in the rear of the car, my tach and speedometer started to climb at the same time. I looked behind me…
Good enough for a best of 46.155 and 2nd in my class. First attempt using race render to overlay the gauges.
When you over drive the car, miss an apex hard, spin, and there’s a downed cone so you get a re-run. #blessed.
God I do love craigslist. Found a guy who just put a Strange S60 in his 4th gen Camaro and was looking to get rid of his factory 10 bolt.
Anything you want to know?
Now I just need to fix my cartoon exploded mufflers.
I was doing some VE Analyze Live on the Microsquirt controller last night, hit save and the car backfired and blew out both of my mufflers. Usually you hit save and it stumbles a little and is fine, no idea why it decided to cartoon explode my poor old 2.25in Thrush “TURBO” mufflers.
Any day at the track when you beat a Hellcat is a good day.
Made quite a lot of progress this weekend on project #autoxmcss
1. Install missing bellhousing dowel pin, install bellhousing bolts and torque converter bolts
2. trim coil bracket and valve cover, remote mount #8 coil.
3. drop fuel tank, build new pump sender and regulator, plumb system into car
4. wire fuel pump with relay
5. stretch 1.25 radiator hoses to fit 1.5 inch fittings
