Toyota's actually been doing this for quite a while now.

The Continental Flying Spur was pretty hideous from the sides, if you ask me. It got much better in 2014 when they changed the stampings to give it more Mulsanne-esque styling and renamed it “Flying Spur.”

The F1 was designed to be the ultimate road car, not a dedicated track weapon. The T.50 is very much in that same vein. It’s going to be a car you could use every day, if desired. Experience matters.

The original circuit at Watkins Glen (the one that went through town), actually had a railroad crossing in the middle of one of the longest straights. It’s rough crossing it today at “55", I couldn’t imagine with 1940's pavement and racing speeds.
