It’s at a recycling facility what does it matter how they’re stacked?! They’re going to be taken apart and the metal parts sent off to be melted back down.

Company donates perfectly good bikes to cause. Recycles bikes that are not serviceable. Gets grilled on social media for doing the right thing.

And let’s not forget our lawsuit-happy society. If something is found to be wrong with a donated bike and some kid gets hurt, that same mayor is going going to be tweeting about how irresponsible it was to give away broken bikes to kids who don’t know any better.

Don’t laugh, that car will get 84 mpg, only cost $824.50. My grandfather put down $100 and he’s got a piece of paper that he gets the 5217th one that comes down the factory floor from Louisiana once old Elio gets the bugs worked out on the production line. Should show up any day now.

Year 2080 or so, a 100+ year old Jason Torchinsky wills his Beetle to Jalopnik, and Jalopnik sells it on Craigslist.

It’s not just acceleration. An automatic doesn’t know when you’re on a 10-percent downhill grade, either. It will happily shift up into top while you melt your brakes trying to not run off the side of the mountain.

The mismatched center caps are really killing the aesthetics of the vehicle. That and the design, shape, and proportions of the body. But mostly the center caps.
