You don’t “steal” money from a scholarship. Even though she wasn’t black, she was awarded the monies due to merit as well.

She has children and another child on the way; her first priority is to take care of them financially so they do not become a burden on society. She doesn’t “need” to do anything with any money she makes for anyone else in society.

I think she really, really has some massive self loathing and tried to create a brand new “self”. Almost like a rebirth of a new human being and thought she could choose everything, right down to the race.
