Marvel movies have plenty of head-scratching moments, but at least they understand their own characters and show they have at least the basics of story-telling, character and drama down. Those things are lacking in the Snyderverse. Take Superman, the guy is only a hero because space-dad says so in a pompous…

Yeah, I don’t think most Marvel movies qualify as great cinema. But most comics aren’t great literature, either.

Generally speaking, Marvel movies are so fun that you forgive most plotholes and missteps unless they’re particularly egregious. They’re not immune from scrutiny, either, as proven by the many critical pieces on Age of Ultron. And even Age of Ultron was more fun than BvS: Dawn of Justice.

There have been tons of think pieces by critics on Marvel movies. I mean, where were you when Age of Ultron came out? There were lots of them lambasting the studio-mandated Thor’s bath scene, analyzing Black Widow’s role in the group, etc...

Then I can’t recommend Daredevil and Jessica Jones enough for you. 180 degree turnaround in atmosphere from the movies, but in the same universe.

So...if Batman’s refusal to kill is a character flaw, his committing mass murder eliminates that flaw? Interesting...

I find poorly made movies boring, not fun, and tedious, even with my brain turned off. There’s a difference between well-made trash and complete crap.

I never got that mentality... if you’re only interested in the exciting visuals, why see a movie at all? You could just wait until someone uploads all the fight scenes and watch them on Youtube. If I’m actually going to go watch a film I’d like for the story to at least not be so bad that it distracts me from enjoying…
