…oh. :(
…oh. :(
ALSO, what is a dicklick???
call what what?
specifically, a dicklick whose opinion might be that they are liking it for the WRONG REASONS and don't you know that that would infuriate someone whose entire ego/happiness relies on pop-culture knowledge and respect of their opinions??
14! My parents just got me my first laptop last christmas! AND THIS IS WHAT I DO WITH IT
what's with all this friday night lights talk??
How can we forget The O.C.??
woah! you guys!
This was one of those things where i was walking out of the theater and everyone around me was screaming about how awesome it was, and then someone said that it was like the most original movie they'd seen, and then I just WANTED to hate it a little bit because of that.
and arguments from lobsters?
OK, I'll allow it succeeded on SOME level. That the movie was a success, though, I will argue against.
Definitely unintentionally funny. No doubt about that.
@a guinea pig tricked me
not good at all
Sure, sure, sure, it's TRYING to do stuff about parenthood w/ genetic engineering undertones, etc. etc.
pointless detail i can't get over
if alternaverse was just a collective construct afterlife thing, why start the whole season with a really fucking dramatic zoom into the bottom of the ocean where the island has sunk? I thought that was, like, a fact. Everyone raving that the light going out meant the end for the…
that's an apt comparison. And yeah, season 5 has some of the best episodes, "The Body," and the finale are among my all-time favorites.
mckinley high as victims of the system
You said it yourself in last week's review, Todd - musicals move differently than regular narratives. Personally I'm not bothered at all by the tonal shifts or the overdramaticism or the flimsy plot lines. To me they're a genre thing.
Nick Hornby?
I haven't been bedridden in a while. A few years ago, though, there was a death in the family and I had to go home and space out for a few hours. At this time I watched About A Boy, and it was oddly soothing, combining the right amount of melancholy and hopefulness for the mental state I was in.
Most entertaining episode yet
And the ob/gyn scene and the final scenes worked for me… I might like this one even better than preggers. It was the funniest by far, and with plotting as good as preggers. I guess maybe I'm just OK with stupid plots. And soap operas.
At least once before, with some random neighbors. I think one of them was Kristen Schaal. That was the "dating your doctor is a bad idea," episode; Robin dates her co-worker, Barney dates the bar waitress, and Lily and Marshall "date," the neighbors.
No Wonder Watterson's a hermit…
I'd never want to leave my house either if all I saw when I went out was my creation pissing on everything. And a bunch of assholes wanting to write books about me.
i mean cocoon. shit. not like anyone's reading this anyways.
