I don’t think you can. I believe that’s why they use the CVT as it totally makes the drivetrain like sometimes unresponsive. Audi went the other route, as some of the Quattros are now dual clutch and DCTs have alot less friction loss than a normal torque converter auto and maybe even a CVT. Older Subarus with the 4EAT

Offically it’s the Subaru Outback 3.0R L.L. Bean Edition, the 5EAT was just a quick way for people to realize it was the 5 speed auto.

Well considering my Crosstrek is driven 80% city, 24 mpg overall isn’t too bad. It’s rated 25 city and I’ve got Michelin Defenders T+H tires on it. Remember, Subaru vehicles are full time AWD, unlike 99% of other all wheel drives on the market, parasitic losses are real. Look at any other car with a full time AWD

I have 2 Subarus so I feel I can weigh in some on this topic, Subaru with a naturally aspirated engine and a CVT tranmission and a more powerful Subaru. I have a 2014 XV Crosstrek 2.0i Premium CVT and a 2005 Subaru Outback 3.0R LL Bean 5EAT.

Almost 30 year old FWD undesirable Lotus with a god awful paint job for 6k? What could go wrong there? I’d rather buy an MR-2 Spyder for that much money. CP all friggin’ day long.

Grats, another LS swapped Japanese sports car. I would love to get a 240Z and RB26DETT swap it..

No Ford Taurus especially from this generation should be more than like 3 grand. Major crack rocks were smoked this morning. CP.

TRIGGERED.

Burgundy whale for 12k? Pass. CP.

90's VW from snow country above like 1500 bucks? Auto CP.

80's VW more than like 1000 bucks? CP.

Sorry I meant half ton. I still think to get a diesel half ton and spending $$$ is insanity. The only reasonable truck with a diesel is that Colorado with the 2.8L Duramax, but that’s still pushing 40k. Ranger won’t offer it, I highly doubt Nissan and Toyota will offer it on their small trucks.

Right but some professions need pickup trucks, and some people would like to have something somewhat economical. We are the only country in the world that has 3/4 ton trucks with big old gasoline V8s as the norm. Nobody else in the world wants or has gas pickups because of their poor fuel economy. I would absolutely

I don’t know about you, but I don’t enjoy getting 14 mpg. Then again my 3.0R Outback only gets about 16-17 mpg on premium gas...

Or....get the 3.0L Ecodiesel. Bam. Mind blown.

Oof painful one. I was 16, speeding in my dad’s 1997 Honda Accord LX 2.2L auto in the SNOW of all things. The right and left lane was going super super slow. So in my infinite wisdom, I merged into the right lane without looking to see if there was someone going slow. There was of course. I slammed on my brakes, my

The best....or maybe you know 180 miles, whatever floats your boat. Just kidding we want your money.

Why is a panoramic sunroof automatically unreliable? My 2005 Outback 3.0R LL. Bean has one, 165k miles, still good. Doesn’t leak. It’s a bit loud without the cover surprisingly.

Any Prowler more than 1 dollar is automatic CP. Also the 56 people who voted NP, this is why we cannot have nice things.

Yes but there are far better ways of achieving this. You can do a ramp test without potentially blowing up your drivetrain.
