I’ve heard many people getting the recall notices and they visit all the local dealers and service centers and nobody has parts or parts are months away. I’m glad my ‘05 Outback 3.0R had the airbag inflator changed out 2 years ago.

It really depends on the car. Cars with teeny engines, you are unlikely to start in 2nd gear cause they don’t really have a whole lot of power. I can definitely say my ‘94 Integra would not really start in 2nd gear, it would have probably stalled.

I would avoid high mileage V8 M3's. They have the same issue with the connecting rod bearings as the previous E46 gen M3's. They will eat their engines apart.

I wouldn’t pay 12k for this. The supercharger doesn’t work. Unknown parties rebuilt the engine. Maybe if a professional shop rebuilt it, I could see 10-12k.
