I believe early 2012-2013 FB20's and 2010-2014 FB25's might have improperly installed oil control piston rings basically requiring an entire teardown of the engine. Actually funny you mention that, my 2014 XV Crosstrek just went in @ 81k miles for cam carrier resealing as it was leaking oil. They replaced a bunch of

I feel bad for you. I literally did not want ANYTHING to do with an EJ. My Crosstrek has an FB20 and my ‘05 Outback has an EZ30D.

Blargh CVT only. I honestly don’t want to even consider the Subaru Ascent as I already have a Subaru CVT. Yes I know it will be turbocharged and has much more power, but it’s meh. Give me a good torque-converter automatic.

WOW so it finally gets rid of the 1.8L Valvematic they’ve been using FOREVERRRRRR.

Holy mother 84k?

Right...in original/original looking condition with factory or sometimes non-factory parts. This is clearly way different. If one is doing an EJ22 swap, might as well do an EJ205 or something crazy.

As much work and as much as I like Subarus, that is a major CP. Knock off a 0 and you got a nice price.

Knock off one zero and you got yourself a nice price. Otherwise CP.

Funny article cause my fiance’s step dad’s 2013 Chevy Sonic LT 1.4L turbo with the 6 speed is totally unnecessary. If driving like 65-75 on the highway and in 6th gear, revs drop alot. I always find myself shifting back into 5 to pass. 5 gears would have been more than enough.

I don’t know a whole lot about the CA/LA street racing scene, but are there no tracks in CA or not accessible?

Literally what the fuck happened to those car locks?

I can’t imagine the Z would be anything but rear drive. Maybe C class coupe? Or be based on the Q50/Q60? Maybe another inline 6....but I think that’s being too hopeful.

No Saab is worth more than 300 dollars, CP to the max.

I started out driving my dad’s automatic Honda Accord. Eventually after I killed my 1st 240SX, I got myself a DC4 Integra with a 5 speed. Learning stick in DC traffic at first was really rough, but I stuck with it and I purely enjoy the feeling of a manual transmission. My 2nd 240SX was a 5 speed also. I want to be

But they could have.

LS swapped Datsun? Get the fuck outta here.

3rd Gear: How’s Subaru Doing? Ah, They’re Doing All Right

I’d rather buy an RS6 Avant from Europe lol.

FYI BMW never addressed the issues with the high pressure fuel pump failures of the N55 which is what this new BMW engine is supposed to be based on. They just went from like a 40% failure rate to 10%. My friend has owned 3 different BMWs with that same engine, all of them ate up fuel pumps like nobody’s business.

We all said the same thing about the BRZ/FRS/GT86 and look how many people buy them these days? My friend bought a BRZ Limited in 2013, promptly sold it 1.5 years later and bought a used IS-F. To be totally honest, Toyota should have scrapped the joint BMW venture and built something along like 400 horses range at
