Neutral: Has America Won The Luxury War?

Anything more than 500 for a Geo is an automatic CP. And that’s me being generous.

Not as spectacular as Colin McRae’s crashes but still funny AF nonetheless!

I thought I read it was going to be 25% gas tax increase....shit if it’s just a quarter my driving to my local Costco to get cheaper gas is still worth it!

Party bus that is Fast and Furious inspired neon lights for 1100 bucks?! NP

Yeah still nope....

So some idiot thinks a 25 mile, automatic, dead Pontiac brand car is worth 49k? What crackpipe did they smoke? You can get so many fantastic cars, shit you can almost get a CPO 997 turbo for that money. Porsche or Pontiac............hrmmmmm.

Not 100% sure. I thought about it, just never heard from an actual Crosstrek owner that it made a difference, though the newest WRX platform people have been saying it is a huge difference and the cars are technically still on the Impreza platform.

Pretty much this. Every friend who currently/has owned a VW has complained about some malady their VW has caused them. Older ones mostly random electrical gremlins. I will say the VWs built in Germany have been much more reliable than the ones coming from Tennessee and Puebla plant.

My hats off to you, you must be a glutton for punishment as well as your wallet.

Fixed for you.

While I appreciate the SRT-4 and Dodge’s successful attempt at building a very fast FWD track car you could daily....14.8k is ALOT of money for a SRT-4 even if it an ACR variant. I mean you can get a C5 Corvette for 14k, S2000, Evo, STI, hell even a used 2013 FRS/BRZ are getting down to the 13-14k range.

Yeah I think Herb Gordon offered to “resurface the rotors” and new pads for like 700 or something silly. I bought a full set of slotted Stoptech rotors and ceramic pads for like half of that. The Subaru OEM brakes were pretty eh, I might get the brake master cylinder brace, I feel the braking on my Crosstrek is kinda

Yup I’m happy with Herb Gordon. Though they gave me a good laugh when I asked how much to replace 2 of the rear wheel hubs, they quoted me 1600. I bought brand new OEM ones off eBay for 120 a piece, and my mechanic installed them for 200 labor. I may not buy another Subaru new, except maybe an Ascent. The fiance

I mean I was stupid, I wanted a car ASAP, it was close to my house. I mean yeah I paid 26k OTD with taxes, warranty, some accessories.

Well the EPA back when it was shiny new in 2005 said it was supposed to get 19 city and 24 city? I average about 15.3 mpg. Now granted it has some ultra grippy BF Goodrich g-Force Comp 2 A/S W rated tires probably doesn’t help and it drives in some heavy rush hour traffic.

When I bought my 2014 XV Crosstrek, I had 3 dealers near me that I could have done business with. I chose the closest (Fitz Mall) which was ok, but I always felt they were too pushy. I now go to Herb Gordon Subaru, and I did want to visit Stohlmans Subaru just to see how they are. In my 4 years now of owning Subarus

The same could be said for any 80/90's 2 seater convertible? Plus I doubt one would daily drive a Honda Beat, that would be like a fun weekend car.

Why are people saying a Kei-car is not worth 6k being this cheap and rare in the US?

There was a TSB out for early build FB20 and FB25 engines due to excessive oil consumption which turned out to be either defective or improperly installed oil control piston rings. Given I had a 2014 but built in late 2013, I could have been part of that so I decided to get all my oil changes done at Subaru dealers
