Oh I know how to do oil changes. I read early build FB20 motors could be prone to burning excessive amounts of oil (oil control piston ring defect). Hence while I still have the 7 year/100k mile extended bumper to bumper warranty, I want the dealer to service it. Once it goes out of warranty, then I will start doing

Which one do you have? Outback, Legacy, and Forester with the EJ253 should be worry free from most head gasket issues, but you need to check. It’s that much cause the motor needs to come out, and might as well replace other stuff.

Yeah mine does that too. Heck they also buy Dunkin Donuts at all hours while the Service department is open.

I’ve had 2 other family members with a Focus and Fiesta with the powershift (2012 and 2013), both shit the bed like under 30k miles. If it was just 1 complaint, I would say it’s an outlier. When Ford keeps replacing the clutch, TCM, it’s an issue.

That’s issues with the older EJ series engines. The FB20 in my Crosstrek has a timing chain and a much thicker head gasket than the older motors.

I don’t think any new car will really totally break minus like the Ford shitty Powershift transmissions and those ZF 9 speed autos. I hated the stock brakes so I changed them prematurely.

Can’t get a Supra for 30k in Canadia?

Nope USA. Subarus are all now full synthetic. The 59.95 is for 4 quarts of 0W-20 oil, OEM Subaru oil filter, gasket and crush washer and labor. also they wash my car’s exterior, vacuum my interior and do a free “quick car inspection” where they check brake pad, tires, etc. 60 is CHEAP, go to Jiffy Lube and ask for a

I have a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. Since Feb 2014, nothing has really “broken” in the ~4 years and 80k miles it has. I’ve went through the OEM Yokohama Geolandars (20k had massive sidewall dmg). Just changed out the replacement Michelin Premier A/S tires as they were right at ~60k miles, just got Michelin Defenders

Jeez Louise, looks like someone watched too much Fast and Furious/Italian Job.

Isn’t a 2.0L diesel a little small for a Raptor? I mean the RAM has a 3.0L V6 diesel...and the Raptor used to have a 6.2L V8 and now a 3.5L EB V6 a 2.0L twin turbo diesel seems a little out of character.

Oh the things people will do to appeal to the Chinese market...

Normal GT3 has a 6 speed manual, normal 911's have the 7 speed manual.

I never understood Ford’s tri-shit-ca of 3 brands. Why does a sub-luxury brand need to exist? Did we really need the Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and the Town Car? I understand a luxury and a normal brand, almost every manufacturer has a business model like this.

I mean considering a base STI is like 34k, and the limited is like 42k fully loaded, 50k ain’t far off. And I don’t think this will be worth that much as a collector’s items, it ain’t no 22B. The 22B had way more exclusive stuff that this STI doesn’t have.

Holy fucking shit CP. A STOCK S13 Pigsnout ugly ass hatch is not worth 9k, pristine or not. I bought my 1st S14 240SX SE auto, no sunroof, automatic for 2300 bucks. Super super clean had like 212k miles. My 2nd S14 240SX base manual trans with coilovers and upgraded suspension bits but stock KA24DE was 3k. No stock

Well when you offer subprime loans to people who horrendous credit, who doesn’t want a 2018 Mirage with a 24% interest rate over 8 years???

FYI drum brakes aren’t that rare on the cheapest sub-compact cars. The Fit, Yaris, Yaris iA, Fiesta, all have drum brakes. Shit the Corolla LE has drum brakes. I don’t think you get discs on a Corolla til you get up the S model. A 50k fully loaded Tacoma has drum brakes. Shit my past 5 cars have been all discs (‘05

Oh I know I was just poking fun. One advantage of a flat motor....it fits in practically everything. You don’t get clearance issues of V8/V10 swapping stuff.
