You can get RWD R32 legal Skylines for under 15k FYI. For Gojira, it’s like 22-25k, not a bad price at all, considering people sell their SR20 swapped 240s for 15k.
Adunno I had quite the trouble in the snow with out Pilot. Michelin all seasons (can’t remember which one). Even with VTM-4 locked, still got a ton of slip.
Totally weird unless the Ridgeline has a different AWD system than the Pilot (at the time). From what I understand it is a more FWD biased “AWD”, only sending torque when it detects wheel slip. From what I gathered with the useless wheel spin, our Pilot doesn’t transmit enough torque to the rear axle, even with VTM-4…
Actually my mom has a 2012 Highlander XLE AWD which is also terrible on the snow (though not sure if it was also a factor of the crappy all seasons it came with). My 2014 XV Crosstrek is easily the most capable vehicle at my parent’s house.
I’m going to assume it uses the same “AWD” in the new Pilot, but how much actual torque does it transfer to the rear axle? Will it have locking differentials? My dad has an old ‘05 Pilot that gets stuck all the time in snow, most useless AWD system known to man.

I’m failing to understand why this is so insane. You can buy a P90D with all the insanity of instant electric torque, without having to rely on a gasoline engine. There are supercharging stations all down 95, so range anxiety shouldn’t be a huge deal. And it’s not like these students designed the engine from scratch…
