Pretty much. The BBK was like 3500, rims + winters was like 1500, and upgraded short shifter etc.

Best thing to do is to wait, if you can. My friend bought a BRZ Limited 31k OTD in 2013. He sold it in 2015 for a tad under 20k, with Stoptech BBK, and 2nd set of rims with winters, and a whole bunch of others. The point here is, wait for the hot car to cool off, or buy used after 1-2 years, you’ll save so much money.
Dooooooooooooriftooooooooooooo.
I’d rather pogo stick to work than drive ANY base Chevrolet car. Not digging the rental car grade interior.
I don’t get WHO would pay like 26k for the Trax. I got my 2014 XV Crosstrek premium for 26k OTD, with a far nicer interior, actual room for 6 foot+ tall people, and real AWD.
Eh my fiance has a kid, so the Fiesta ST and Miata are out of the question. The Fiesta ST is for Europeans or extremely anorexic Americans. Maybe a Focus ST but eh I’d probably just get a WRX limited as it isn’t that much more over a Focus ST with the ST3 package. My friend bought one late last year, and there were no…
Huh, I thought Motorweek managed to get ok mileage out of the STI? I mean cause if you aren’t on boost, you are just driving a slightly heavier Impreza with an run of the mill EJ25...
Every GTI owner I’ve known has regretted buying it (complete DSG failure after 35k, 45k, and 60k miles). The 6MT owners have fared better, but it is ridden of random electrical problems? I thought about getting an old blobeye wagon WRX, but WRX’s are STUPID expensive, even with like 120-140k miles. The realistic…
The BRZ does NOT hold it’s value. My friend got a 2013 Limited BRZ for like 30k OTD. He sold it late last year and only got 19k for it and that was with upgraded Stoptech BBK, additional set of rims + winter tires, and a whole bunch of upgraded stuff.
Jeez do you like Fast and the Furious every red light? My ‘97 Accord (2.2L, 4 speed auto) netted me like 27 combined. My ‘94 Acura Integra RS (4 door, 5 speed manual) driving very very frugally got me like 31 combined. Hell even my old ‘97 CR-V got the same MPG as your Prelude..
Ouch is it really that low? I’m sure with a lead foot, it’s not hard averaging like 15-16, but even driven lightly?
Yeah well sign me up lol.
My XV Crosstrek takes regular gas, whereas the STI requires premium. Also my commute may nearly triple soon, not sure yet. Plus I feel I would get a hell of alot more speeding tickets owning an STI. Also STI insurance, upkeep is a hell of alot more than my XV and my 240SX combined. Yes I could afford to buy a STI,…
Ah I would totally love a new STI, granted I’m not sure I can stomach 21 mpg...my XV’s 26 mpg combined is already meh.
My 2014 XV Crosstrek with the FB20 doesn’t burn oil. I’ve driven 22k miles with oil changes at the dealer every 5k miles. AFAIK the affected FB20's were 2012-early 2013 production dates. My XV was built December 2013.
I think people who buy a GTI buy it for a specific reason. The interior is going to be far nicer than a Kia, though reliability is always a concern, especially if you get the DSG. And good luck finding any aftermarket stuff for your Kia or Hyundai, whereas the GTI has a ton of aftermarket parts, forums, tuners, etc.
The Levorg has a FA20DIT shared with the Forester XT and the WRX.
Except the Skylines were meant to be tuned, and were GROSSLY underrated from the factory. Try more of the 320+ hp at the crank. And seriously 90's era auto slush box? And good luck finding any aftermarket support compared to any RWD 90's Nissan.
How about Nissan bring back the Silvia/240SX. Not another Nissan Leaf that self drives.
Ah I have not been so fortunate. I crashed my first ‘95 SE twice, had that for like 1.5 years, that was back in 2012. Got my current ‘96 base model this past summer, awaiting 2016 as I will finally be able to go historic tag (it’s lowered on coilovers and has “oversized” wheels and fails “MD inspection”), also had a…
